Industry Internship Report (21-23)

Overview

The class of 21-23 JAGSoM secured 100% internships with 204 offers with 78 organizations along with full-time offers in National & International Organizations. As per the Internship report 2022, the average stipend of a JAGSoM candidate has grown by 48% to INR 2,25,000 and the media stipend stood up to INR 67500. About 60% plus of the candidates received bolt-on offers along with an internship with the highest compensation of INR 42,00,000. Around 29% of candidates have been hired by Tech giants and start-ups followed by NBFC (17%), FMCG & E-Commerce (10%), Automotive & Manufacturing (9%), Consulting (5%), Telecommunication (3%) and other (9%) with biotechnology, renewal energy, banking & real estate.

The industry Internship Programme (IIP) at JAGSoM is an innovative arrangement (capstone programme) under which a candidate spends 12 to 16 weeks in an organization before the last term. The exposure is very intensive, which helps the company monitor the candidate’s capabilities in desired career track and which leads to full-time conversion.

Industry Internship Report (19 - 21)

The students of Jagdish Sheth School of Management secured 100% internships. As per the Internship report 2021, the average stipend of JAGSoM students has risen by 42%, and 60% plus of the students received their PPO offers during their internship. 70 plus companies participated in the recruitment process and a significant number of students have been hired by Information Technology and Services, Management Consulting, Financial Services, Banking sectors. About 34% of the students were offered an internship by Information Technology and Services.

The industry Internship Programme (IIP) at JAGSoM is an innovative arrangement (capstone Programme) under which a student spends 4.5 months in an organization in their last term. The exposure is very intensive which helps the company to monitor the capabilities of the student and also understand whether the student will fit into the organization through such long associations which leads to full-time conversion. This year JAGSoM has observed 77% of the students being picked up by leading companies in the ITeS and Finance & Banking sectors. This has further contributed to the increase of the average stipend by 60% despite the ongoing pandemic and recovering economy. Speaking about the internship placement, Dr Atish Chattopadhyay, Director, JAGSoM said,
