Nuket Serin

Nuket Serin has received her Ph.D. from Florida International University and will be graduated in the summer of 2022. She is joining Bellarmine University as an Assistant Professor of Marketing in August 2022. Her research focuses on two primary domains: 1) consumer well-being and choice behavior; 2) branding, social media, and digital communications. She published two papers in the Journal of Advertising and Journal of Health Administration Education. One of her papers also is conditionally accepted by the Journal of Consumer Affairs (TCR Special Issue). Her dissertation focuses on brand activism (brands’ stance on sociopolitical issues such as social justice, racial equality, LGBTQ rights, or the refugee crisis) and the consumer-brand relationship in the digital marketplace.

She received the Outstanding Graduate Scholar Award from the FIU and the FIU Graduate School Dissertation Year Fellowship. She has been awarded 10 grants and funding for her research. She was invited as a guest speaker to various universities. She is currently a Vice-Chair of Content Management for AMA DocSIG and Vice President for the FIU Business Doctoral Student Association. She holds an MS in Marketing degree from the University of South Florida and an MA in Business Administration degree from Cukurova University, Turkey.
