Before starting my PhD, I first worked as a consultant at a market research firm, and then as a marketing manager at a large IT company. I started my journey in academia two years joining a double-degree PhD program of Maastricht University and UHasselt. My interest in aesthetics, consumer psychology, and quantitative marketing defined the topic of my project: visual storytelling. I use advanced marketing methods (such as image and text mining) to explore how different visual features affect consumer behavior.
