Prof. Gourab De is a passionate marketing academic whose work spans the evolving landscape of consumer behavior, strategic marketing, and health services. With a Fellow in Management (Ph.D. equivalent) from the International Management Institute, New Delhi, Prof. De brings methodological depth to his research, specializing in both qualitative and quantitative approaches. His mixed-methods inquiry combines interpretive techniques such as thematic analysis with advanced statistical modeling frameworks like Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling. His research draws on behavioral theory and marketing analytics to uncover how individuals engage with health information and make preventive choices. In marketing research, Prof. De is particularly interested in designing robust measurement models, exploring consumer decision heuristics, and applying advanced statistical techniques to decode complex behavioral patterns. This interdisciplinary lens allows him to contribute meaningfully to both academic inquiry and real-world marketing strategy.
Prof. De’s work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the International Journal of Consumer Studies, International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing, and Global Business Review to name a few. His hybrid systematic literature review on preventive healthcare behavior was spotlighted at global academic platforms, including a keynote at the Global Healthcare Conference in Barcelona.
In the classroom, Prof. De teaches Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, and Services Marketing, with a distinct focus on Marketing Health Services.
