The corporate relations group (CRG) at JAGSoM is a professionally driven team of career services professionals, corporate relations group & faculty. The Corporate Relations Officer will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the academic world and the corporate sector working closely with Track Chairs. They will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with companies to facilitate the placement of students into suitable roles as per their Career Tracks and allied activities. With their industry experience, they will bring valuable insights and networks to assist students in securing internships and engagement opportunities aligned with their Career Tracks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Liaison: Build and nurture relationships with companies across various industries to understand their hiring needs and preferences. 
  • Placement Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance placement rates. Analyse market trends, industry demands, and job market data to tailor strategies accordingly.
  • Internship Coordination: Facilitate the students into internship programs. Collaborate with companies and academic faculty to ensure internship opportunities aligned with academic curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Employer Engagement Events: Organize career fairs, networking events, and employer engagements to connect students with potential employers. 
  • Alumni Relations: Maintain strong relationships with alumni working in various industries to leverage their networks and experiences. Tap into alumni resources for mentorship, job referrals, and industry insights.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student placements, internship outcomes, and employer interactions. Generate reports and analytics to track trends, student progress, and program effectiveness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, recruitment trends, and regulatory changes affecting final placements. Identify areas for improvement in placement processes, career services, and student support initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Master’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in corporate engagement, career services, or talent management, with a focus on placements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, employers, faculty, and alumni.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software for data management/reporting and LinkedIn tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ethical and professional conduct with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding industry standards.
